Nigeria’s Channels Television and The Guardian Nigeria, and Legit.NG are to get YouTube’s innovation funding for news publishers, and this is a welcome development.
In a statement on their blog today, YouTube made the announcement that as a part of its Google News Initiative, it will be funding a total of 87 recipients across 23 countries in its bid to help newsrooms strengthen their online video production while experimenting with new formats for video journalism.
